Sophia has been in negotiations before. But she feels that they have not worked out for in the past. She usually agrees with her boss’ suggestion.

She is speaking with her friend, Antonio, about how she feels.

Her friend is surprised and tells her, “It seems like you are an accommodating type of negotiator.”

Sophia asks, “What do you mean? I asked for what I wanted but after hearing his counters, I thought it may be best to go with his suggestions. I didn’t want him to be mad at me.

“Yep, you are definitely an accomodating type of negotiator.”

Sophia confused asked, “What do you mean?”

“There are 5 different negotiating styles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (list all of them)

“You being accommodating means that you regard your relationships very high and not what you want. You like to keep the peace, and this is why we love working with you. Thankfully you don’t have to be an accommodating negotiator. You can learn to be the other four. The best negotiators used them all depending on what is the negotiation.

“Oh this is great. What are they?”
